Poet Laureate 1997. Chris Crabtree joined the San Antonio Poetry association in 1995. He has served as the president and vice-president of the association. Chris has hosted many poetry venues in and around San Antonio.

 

He taught creative writing for Religious Science Church, The Oasis Group, West Lakes University, Food For Thought Writers and many others. He has traveled extensively throughout the United States and Europe, earning a large collection of trophies, awards, ribbons and letters of thanks from those that he has helped in their writing efforts.

 

His Works have been published in The Iron Press, Sussex Literary Review, Lucidity, A Journal of Verse, Carolton Arts Review, Heartland Poetry Quarterly, Sun Poetr Times, Patchwork Poems, Salt grass Review, Patchwork Gold, Poetry of Lost Causes, Inkwell Echoes, and Under the Umbrella Tree.

 

Chris is the assistant director of the San Antonio Poetry Fair.

 

Chris Crabtree dips his pen into deep well life experiences and writes with clarity and gut-wrenching honesty. He celebrates the ordinary with remarkable insight, his words casting a magical spell over experiences, memories, and deires, giving the reader a private viewing of his soul.
